The Yellow Smoothie, on ABC-TV

 
I did my monthly appearance on ABC-TV’s Let’s Talk Live last week, and I showed my true colors.

Fall’s harvest colors, that is, with a full array of phytonutrients. Each color contains a different group of phytonutrients, and a healthy diet includes a wide variety of color (no, not JUST green).

I went shopping to gather colorful produce, and to try to create smoothies from each. It worked well.

Here is the Yellow Smoothie, rich in Vitamin C.

Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh pineapple
1/2 pear
1/2 banana
1/2 mango
1/2 lemon, peeled
1/4 cup raw cashews (soaked are best)
1/2 inch fresh ginger

Blend in your high speed blender, (like a Vitamix) and go for a walk in the sunshine!
