Apple Cider Vinaigrette
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is good for you in many ways; it helps to balance your PH level because it’s alkalizing, it aids in detoxification, it fights candida and yeast, and is said to aid in weight loss due to it’s acetic acid content. On the outside, you can use ACV mixed with water as a rinse for hair, or to tone your skin.
I’ve been using it to spike my water, and personally enjoy the tart/sour taste. I recommend buying raw unfiltered ACV, with the “mother” present, a sign that the bacteria is alive and your vinegar is fresh.
This recipe is borrowed from my upcoming book, Discover Your Nutritional Style.
Ingredients
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic
¼ cup coconut syrup or raw, local honey (optional)
Preparation
Shake until smooth using a mason jar. Stores for about a week in the fridge. You can also use a high speed blender, like a Vitamix, for an emulsified dressing. Delicious!
