3 Superfoods for Super Energy

Fall’s coming, and you may need all the help you can get when it comes to having more energy.

Someone asked me to choose just 3 items to add in to their diet; a difficult task, but here’s what I came up with.

1) Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are a plant based, balanced protein, making them a sustainable source of protein energy and brain power.

Chia contains Omega 3 fatty acids that are beneficial to weight loss, and are anti inflammatory to help protect your joints, give you gorgeous skin, and protect your intelligent mind.

Chia seeds are also high in antioxidants to fight free radicals and prevent aging!

Go Chia!

2) Spinach
Spinach is chock full of vitamins and nutrients with health benefits that includes protection against cancer, aging, heart disease, osteoporosis, and arthritis. It boosts your energy, and your brain!

Spinach has more than a dozen different flavenoids that function as antioxidants and anti-cancer agents. It’s an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin A. Spinach is also a rich source of bone-building nutrients; vitamin K, calcium, and magnesium.

Enhanced energy, improved eyesight, and a boost in brain power are additional potential benefits from a diet rich in spinach.

Cooked spinach is an excellent source of iron, which aids in energy production and helps boost your metabolism.

Go Spinach!

3) Cacao or Chocolate
Did you know that craving chocolate when you’re blue, or in need of an infusion of energy has scientific validity? Chocolate can give you more energy, (even in a trial involving people with chronic fatigue syndrome), helps to burn fat, enhances your moods, reduces your anxiety and stress, and boosts concentration and alertness. It’s awesome for your overall cardiovascular health too.

The problem is that most chocolate has added dairy, and sugar, both are inflammatory to your body, so its important to have it with natural sweeteners. Make sure you buy dark, good quality organic chocolate or make your own treats.

Rah, Rah, Chocolate!!!

Incorporate these 3 foods into your diet now, and enjoy a vibrant, energized early Fall!
