DC Beauty Examiner: Restyle the Way You Eat

Restyle the Way You Eat with Nutritional Stylist Holli Thompson
As seen today in the ‘DC Beauty Examiner’

Nutritionist Holli Thompson helps her clients lose weight, get off medications for chronic illnesses and heal their bodies through her Nutritional Style program. Here she shares some elements of her program that will shift you into a lifestyle that can help you become physically and mentally healthy.

Eating healthy doesn’t only mean cutting back on fat and reducing the amount of sugar you eat. It’s also important to eat more whole, non-processed and non-heated foods. “Replace empty calories with high vibration superfoods like kale, quinoa and aloe vera” Thompson says. Raw natural foods are high in water content, high in fiber and high in micronutrients.

If you want to have more energy and feel healthier, Thompson is offering a new teleseries of customized anti-aging cleanses available in October. The theory behind cleansing regimes are that if you stop eating solid food for several days the toxins are released into the bloodstream and come out through the skin or digestive tract. As a result, the liver starts working more effectively because it is not burdened by processed food. Cleansers say they feel better, have more energy and improved mental clarity.

Holli started out on her path to wellness by addressing her own health issues of weight gain, depression and infertility. Instead of reaching for drugs and medical intervention, Holli chose to rebuild her body’s own strength and resilience.

Holli’s nutrition expedition led her to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she was awarded accreditation by SUNY Purchase College, and Cornell University. Her first client was her own son who was suddenly plagued with allergies and a severely challenged immune system, effecting his energy level and performance in school. After meeting with multiple medical specialists, Holli gravitated to natural means of building immunity and health through whole foods. Doctors were amazed at her son’s recovery and said “whatever it is you’re doing don’t stop!” The experience of overcoming her own family struggles give Thompson a unique sense of empathy when addressing the challenges of others.

The founder of NutriionalStyle.com shares her knowledge through her bimonthly newsletter, television appearances, popular blogs, and has been embraced by some of the best in the business:

“I would recommend her programs for anyone who wants to get healthy and stay that way in a fun and stylish way. And try her tips on skin care too. Maybe it’s all the green juice?!” Sarma Melngailis Founder/CEO of OneLuckyDuck.com Co-founder/owner Pure Food and Wine restaurant in NYC.

Holli recently whipped DC’s AskMissA Editor-in-Chief Andrea Rodgers into camera-ready shape for her photo shoot with Vogue magazine and she says she can do the same for you.
