Nutritional Style’s Cacao Truffles
Forgot to pick up a tie for your guy for your anniversary or Valentine’s Day? Whip up these raw cacao treats, knowing your sweetie will be enjoying a healthy, superfood treat.
Preparation
1. Blend warmed coconut butter, coconut sugar, vanilla, and salt in high-speed
blender (high-speed blender preferred).
2. Add shredded coconut ½ cup at time to blend until smooth.
3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in 2 cups of the cacao powder until
combined.
4. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or more.
5. Place remaining cacao powder on plate.
6. Using a spoon take a heaping tablespoon of the chocolate mixture and roll into
balls. Roll in the cacao powder to cover.
Store the truffles in the refrigerator.
You can also use hemp seeds, coconut, or cacao nibs for the outside coating.
**Coconut sugar, or palm sugar is a natural, low glycemic sugar that’s available at health food stores or on line.
