In My… Vanity
I’m addicted to gorgeous soaps, creamy body lotions, bath soaks and salts, and pampering in a healthy way. I’m not one to shay away from pampering myself. Self-care is healthy and an integral part of my style. When I’m not mixing up my own DIY body lotions and bath oils, these are some of the products I love to use and am happy to recommend. Your skin is your largest organ, so keep your skin care products as clean and healthy as can be.
Here’s what’s in my vanity—and within arm’s reach of my bathtub.
1) Pritté Skin Therapy
Pritté, pronounced ‘pretty’, makes this luxurious body lotion and glides on in a silky and non-greasy way. I love the entire Pritté collection, and while it’s pricey, it’s worth every penny. Developed by Health Coaches, using the highest quality ingredients, I’ve found Pritté both luxurious and results driven–they just work.
2) Burt’s Bees Cuticle Cream
A stand-by that I’ve used for years. Rub a teeny amount into your cuticles a few times a week for healthy and strong nails. I do this whenever I can remember to.
3) Alleva Mineral Salts
Detoxifying, mineral salts naturally draw impurities from the body. I love soaking in Alleva Mineral Salts after a long day of exercise, or in cold weather to keep my muscles warm.
4) Dr. Bronner’s Soaps
A time-tested staple that’s been repackaged in an adorable and colorful way. Clean and pure, I like to keep multiple soaps on hand for guests. Shown here is Hemp Rose, Orange, and Lavender.
5) dōTERRA essential oils
Distilled from flowers, plants and herbs to achieve potent and profound medicinal results. I add Lavender or calming blends, like Serenity, a the end of the day, and Citrus Blend in the morning when I want to lift my spirits.
6) dōTERRA Rose Hand Lotion
As you might have gathered by now… I love dōTERRA products. I use their essential oils year round for a multitude of purposes, and this hand lotion is infused with the purest rose essential oils. It smells like a garden. I love this hand cream and use it all the way up my arms.
7) Kimberly Parry Organic Soak
When I want to detoxify and relax away from the kitchen, I turn to the website Ayla Beauty. It’s my favorite for stocking up on luxurious bath products. This Soak is created with minerals and salts from the Dead Sea—a most wonderful way to end a (long) day.
8) Epsom Salts
Containing natural magnesium, this essential mineral can help you sleep and alleviates stress. Epsom salts are readily available in at any drug store and are an inexpensive way to relax your muscles.
9) Gabriel Organics Body Lotion
Numerous studies have proven the rejuvenating and healing qualities of sea-derived ingredients, and Gabriel Organics delivers. Currently sold at many health stores and Whole Foods, the Gabriel line is consistently good.
10) Kimberly Parry Body Butter
Rich and creamy, you only need to use a dot. Try this lotion after your bath or shower to really feel the benefits.

Hi Holli,
I was wondering what type of natural products you use on your face. I started having problems with face products, and having allergic reactions to them that I never did before. I’m 63 with sensative aging skin and need something that will help as much as possible to try and not speed up the aging on the face (again if that’s possible). Right now I use Dermalogica which I’m not allergic to. I did try a natural body lotion once and it actually dried out my skin out so I went back to what I was using before. I will give some of the body products that you use a try.
Thank You,
Vicki

Hi Vicki,
Keep trying! See the In My section on this site for some of my favorite brands and links. A great lotion for the body is by 100% Pure. It’s the best!
I love Pritte, Juice Beauty, and my own essential oil blends with coconut oil. I also love plain coconut oil for the face and body. Try it and let me know what you think.
I hope this helps, Vicki!
