Ginger Lime Detox Drink

 
We were visiting my good friend, C., this summer, and as we walked into her exquisite home over looking the ocean, she offered us some ginger tea “from Gwyneth Paltrow”.

I thought maybe Gwyneth was in the next room brewing it up, but C. had gotten the recipe from one of my current favorite cookbooks; IT’S ALL GOOD, written by GP herself.

Here’s my version; Gwyneth adds boiling water to hers, and some prep work too. I prefer to put everything into the Vitamix and blend. I like the rawness of it all, and it’s easier too.
Either way, it’s really good for you, especially if you have sinus, colds or anytime you want to cleanse.

Ingredients:
1 lime, peeled
1 inch fresh ginger
1 packet stevia (you can also use a tablespoon of coconut sugar)
6 cups cold, filtered water

Preparation
1)Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend.
2)You can adjust ingredients for a sweeter flavor, or add more ginger to increase the ‘heat’.
We prefer it served over ice.
