DIY Beauty: Almond Oil Hair Massage

As you know by now, the positive results from changes made to your diet can show up quickly—but they’re also an investment in your future health and wellness. The same is true for your beauty habits.

My big message for the next month is: don’t drop the ball just because you’re busy. You deserve to carve out time to keep your Nutritional Style on track, to move that body, and pamper your skin. I’ll also be sharing a dose of my favorite DIY beauty treatments to help you transition from summer’s heat and humidity to fall’s cooler, dryer air.

Let’s start with an easy mask for your hair. It’s my ‘go-to’ for keeping my hair conditioned and healthy during the fall—and bonus—it’s super simple! Ready to pamper those tresses and smell like a delicious cookie? Here you go:

Ingredients
2-3 tablespoons pure almond oil

Preparation
Working over the sink, pour a small amount of almond oil into your hands. Gently massage the oil into your scalp by separating sections in your hair. Let it set under a shower cap, or wrap your head in a warm towel. Leave the oil in for as long as possible, overnight if you can. The following day, wash with your normal shampoo and condition lightly to detangle if necessary. Style as usual.

Simple, right?!

And I promise this mask will both work now and long-term, once those cameras start snapping at all the holiday parties.
