Breakfast is served
I find myself preparing more breakfast meals this time of year.
There are kids home from school, our friends and family filling the spare rooms, and a need for something warm and hearty in the mornings. Coffee and cereal just won’t cut it, at least in my hostess book.
I’m a big fan of the breakfast smoothie, but it’s not quite the same as serving a warm meal when it’s snowy outside, and there are eager faces at the table. You know?
The challenge comes when trying to satisfy everyone, while avoiding gluten, dairy and sugar that fill most popular breakfast dishes. Over the years I’ve experimented with a lot of variations, and I’m sharing my favorite breakfast treats below.
These breakfasts have satisfied many years of Thompson family friends and kids galore…Maybe you’ll be inspired to share them with your loved ones this week!
