Healthy summer lemonade
I made lemonade the other day…as the weather turned hot and I craved refreshment. I quickly threw this together and then realized that I did not have a recipe for healthy lemonade on my website.
Here you go..
Fresh lemonade is a joy of summer living, but many mixes out there have more sugar than lemons, and don’t do a thing for your health. On the other hand, there’s nothing like a fresh batch to keep you hydrated and happy, and everyone reaching for more.
Ingredients:
1 cup of freshly juiced lemon juice, approximately 6 lemons
1/4 cup freshly juiced limes – approximately 3 limes
1 teaspoon of lemon flavored liquid stevia
6 cups of water
Large handful fresh mint leaves
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in large pitcher, adding stevia slowly to adjust to your preference. Garnish with mint leaves. Serve over ice.
