DIY Oatmeal and Honey Mask

Bring it on, autumn, we’re ready for you.

This home-made mask is a surefire way to tighten and brighten your skin year round—but does double duty for those who are prone to breakouts when the seasons change from summer to fall.

To make this fall-ready, just use lemon juice instead of water for added acne-fighting and astringent properties.

One of my clients is a young model and swears by this mask, preferring it to store-bought ones. She started using this before shoots for extra refining and to soften her pores. Gorgeous!

‘BRING IT ON’ MASK
Ingredients
1 tablespoons raw oatmeal
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon water or lemon juice

Preparation
1. Grind the oats in a coffee grinder to a fine powder. In a small bowl, mix the ground oats with the honey and water or lemon juice. Apply the mask to the entire face, with the exception of the eye area.

2. Allow the mask to sit for 10 to 20 minutes. Remove gently with a soft washcloth and warm water. This gets messy, so be sure to do it over the sink.
