Exercise; Fast, Easy, and Totally Do-Able!

It can be really hard to get going.

Maybe you’ve taken a few months off, maybe you’re the queen of inconsistency, or maybe you just hate to exercise.

You know it builds a healthy brain. You know how good it feels when you’re done. You love the feeling of muscles emerging, the word “toned” seems all of a sudden possible. You love the happy, endorphin rush you get, and you really love the way it feels to be strong.

But you still don’t always do it.

Whatever your reason, it’s hard for you. I get it. Been there! Especially for us busy types, (is anyone not that type?) the excuses are endless, time is short, and it’s so much more fun to talk on the phone or enjoy your latte.
Here are three fun ways to add muscle tone, boost your mood, and improve your self confidence that you gotta try.

They’re fast, easy and totally do-able.

1) Buy a REBOUNDER
Rebounder’s (mini adult trampolines) are fantastic for overall toning, and they’re fun too. I have one next to my desk, and I bounce all the time. Rebounding is great for stimulating your lymph system, so it’s detoxifying and overall gets a healthy grade A+ from Nutritional Style.
It’s also portable; you can shut your door, put on your i tunes, and off you go.
My favorite brand is www.needak.com

2) Take breaks and walk.
This means pushing away from your laptop and moving, no matter what. Walking boosts your endorphins and gives you added vitamin D from the sun, which also helps with your overall energy and mood. Walking tones your legs and your core. Move. Push your arms , box the air, and go for it.

And add some tunes too!

3) On Line workouts
Here are a few of my clients and my current favorites;

  • Hit the Barre! www.barre3.com

Pay $15 a month for unlimited downloads. The great news here is that they have both short and full length classes.

  • Check out Yoga Glo! www.yogaglo.com

The all encompassing site for yogi’s, they feature some of the best yoga instructors, without leaving the house.

  • Order P90X at www.beachbody.com Kick some butt with this strengthening, spare no-body, method!
  • Meet Gwyneth Paltrow’s trainer! The Tracy Anderson method http://tracyandersonmethod.com has a strong dance element to it, and it’s not for wimps!
