REBoot and get Happy
I just got back from a chilly morning run; this fall weather is charging me up.
And just like you, I’m dealing with a lot of BUSY.
Is your inbox flooded with work and social events? I’ll bet your family is discussing holiday plans. Me too. The funny thing is that so many of my clients are still dealing with leftover symptoms of summer. The negative ones.
Like bloating, low energy and a lack of focus. What about you?
Maybe it was that hot September, or let’s blame it on the election (can we blame everything on Hillary and Donald?).
But friend, it’s time to get busy and snap that rubber band of health back to where it needs to be.
Election aside, it’s up to you to seize the basics of health and allow yourself a good week or two to feel great again.
Here’s how to get happy and re-boot your life towards better health, energy and a clear, focused mind.
* Increase your water intake.
If you’re like me, you tend to go hours at your desk, forgetting to drink. So a couple of weeks ago I took out my pretty glass pitcher and filled it with filtered water. I added a lemon and ginger fusion, and sprinkled it with cayenne. I drank it all day, refilled it and even put some in my water bottle when I left the house. This is a great way to lose water weight within just a couple of days.
And that might make you happy.
*Get moving. Just do it. Put on your sneakers (be sure to buy some cute new ones that go with everything) and walk everywhere. Or get up early and run. Take a class: yoga, barre, or pilates. Hang from the ceiling! Just move. It’s the only way.
I use this easy app called Steps that tracks me all day.
It’s on my phone and I take my phone everywhere. You can review your week and month, and make sure you’re getting enough steps each day.
Movement helps you lose weight, feel alive, and yes, makes you happy.
*Get outside in nature. Go apple picking, pumpkin patch walking, hiking, biking and breathe in your world. Nature will restore your sense of self, your place on the planet and help keep things in perspective.
And it makes you happy.
*Time out for tea. Take a moment this afternoon for a cup of tea. Make your own, like this Ginger Turmeric Tonic to keep you feeling good with cold and flu season on the way.
Or order your pick from this gorgeous organic collection from TOCHA tea
Tea heals, calms, soothes your moods and makes you happy.
*Consider a RE-BOOT with your nutrition. Is it sometimes hard to know what to eat?
It happens to the best of us when life turns this busy. So I turn to the Be Well Cleanse kit, it’s an easy way for me to get control back of my daily diet and ensure that I’m getting stellar nutrition. Which you and I both need right now, as we head into this fall and holiday season.
And yes… when I finish my Be Well Cleanse, I am very HAPPY.

It comes with complete instructions on how to maximize your cleanse, lists of what to buy and what to eat. And NO, it’s not a juice cleanse. You eat real food.

This morning I ate smoothie bowl - grass-fed collagen, vegan protein powder, spirulina, chlorella, spinach, stevia (sounds creepy but is awesome!).
Holli I just got your book and I love it! Really clear and doable guidelines. You are an inspiration.
I am transitioning off a paleo-type diet and trying to eat less animal protein but am concerned about losing muscle. I am 46 post-menopausal. Do you think this is a valid concern?
Thank you!!

Hi Christian! Thank you for loving my book! It sounds like you’re eating pretty well, I love the way that smoothie bowl sounds. Making a big change in your diet might take some adjustment, and I would use this time to tune in to how you’re feeling. How is your energy, your sleep, your digestion, and most important, after several weeks, how are your nails, skin and hair? Those are all indicators of how your new diet will affect you. Also, work out, lift weights or use resistance to maintain that all important muscle tone.. no matter what your diet. Hope this helps! And I’m happy to schedule a session if you want to talk this through. Just sign up here on my site. https://www.hollithompson.com/solo-styling/
