Get out of that Funk!
I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately. You too?
The holidays were fabulous (seriously, this year they really were), but getting back to reality in single digit temperatures last week was stressful, to say the least (frozen pipes and a child with the flu!).
Healthy amounts of stress can be motivating and good for you, but too much stress works in the opposite way. So, how do you control your stress level to make you more productive and keep you sound?
I recently filmed a wellness tutorial for Century 21 “Adulting” site, and I explored ways to keep stress down… And it wasn’t just about meditation. While I know meditating as an incredible way to relax and quiet the mind, it’s not my jam. I de-stress through movement and doing.
So, if you need some alternatives to meditation, take a view of this video with real life “how-to’s” that might just help.
Here is a quick run down of what’s to come..
#1: Unplug, see friends, color!
#2: De-clutter and surround yourself with things you love.
#3: Move, in any way you can.
#4: Eat well. Avoid sugar and processed foods.
#5: Relax, unwind, get your sleep and don’t forget to LAUGH..
De-Escalate: take a deep breath and go to your “happy place”.

Love this! I’m the very same way, de-stress through movement and quality time spent with family and friends 🙂 Yoga, meditation, massages, those are all SUPER nice, but unplugging and just being- nothing matches that.
