Persimmon Cashew Smoothie

 
Persimmons earned a spot on my Winter Superfoods list, for good reason. They’re high in vitamins C and A, as well as beta carotene and heart-healthy lycopene. Persimmons also contain manganese, iron, and calcium. Maker sure you get a ripe one by seeing how easy you can pull of the green tip. If it isn’t ripe it will be fuzzy and bitter.

Add some creamy almond milk and cashews, warm it up with cinnamon, and you’ll have the perfect warming winter smoothie.

Preparation:
1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.
