Tart cherries contain melatonin, known to help you fall asleep gently. Yogurt contains calcium, which helps the brain use the tryptophan found in dairy to create sleep-inducing melatonin. Kale also contains calcium, and honey raises your insulin slightly and allows tryptophan to enter the brain more readily.
