I’ve been focused on SPRING and rededicating myself to my overall health, and newer, lighter habits. Every once in a while it’s good to shake it up, and give yourself some reminders…Try new foods, and add new habits to your arsenal.

Oh, and btw. My new, favorite grocery store? Thrive Market. They ship directly to you, and offer the best pricing around on basics like these.

Staples:

Crushed Garlic: When I’m at the farm I wouldn’t dream of using anything but freshly pressed cloves, but city life has left me short on time.  I like to have this handy in a pinch.  It’s perfect paired with coconut oil to drizzle over fresh veggies.

Coconut Oil: I keep one on hand for the kitchen, and one for my beauty cabinet. I add a few drops of lavender essential oil and moisturize after the shower, or comb this into my hair about an hour before washing. I wouldn’t be caught without it!

Flax oil: This non-negotiable supplement keeps me sharp, and balanced. Healthy Omega 3 fatty acids and properties that are beneficial for women around 40+. Note: This is not for you guys, it’s a phytoestrogen and you don’t need it.

Arnica oil: I’m loving this clean, pure blend from Weleda. It’s helpful for strains and bruises and easing muscles. Did I mention that I started running?

Chia: I can’t live without these little wonders! Nutiva is my favorite brand, but I like Organic Traditions and Spectrum too. Omega 3 fatty acids and I love what they do to a pudding!

Black bean pasta is a protein pasta that is delicious with a fresh tomato sauce, just add some chopped veggies, like broccoli or zucchini and you are the healthiest one in the room! Both are actually pretty good, and this is a great price for Tinkyada brand.

I’ve also experimented with a few versions of  the shiritaki mushroom noodle, I have many clients who love these!

Snacks:

Spirulina wraps: For any nutritional style, this is a great gluten free option for a healthy lunch or dinner:  Pretty darn healthy, I say!

Navitas raw citrus energy chews: These yummy chews seem to cheer up my mouth, and my son’s!

Raw Cashews: I am loving just a few creamy raw cashews each day at about 3pm…dreamy.

Other Stars:

Enzymes: Indigestion? Acid? I’ve found that SO many of my clients do well with enzymes to help them digest their foods more effectively. Here’s a great one for you to try.

Probiotics: New studies and recommendations for these make them a star of my universe. I recommend them to EVERYONE for immune support, emotional health, and overall wellness.  And here’s the thing: It’s best to vary them, and HealthForce is a great one to try.

Let me know what you can’t live without this season?  And join me on THRIVE.
